I graduated from the faculty of Law many, many years ago. I decided to start my career as a cartoonist in several newspapers, did that for a few years, and never went back to practicing law since then.

In 2003 I joined the Arabic service team of BBC. I was an editor on the Arabic website, a broadcast journalist, director, presenter and reporter at the Arabic radio from 15 different countries.

I went through several training courses while working for BBC among which are Broadcast Journalism, Hostile environment training in London and the BBC legal training.

In 2006, I was delegated by the BBC Trust in Darfur, Sudan to lead the Corporation’s team there in the production of programs for the displaced and refugees in the stricken region. Which was later the main inspiration for writing one of my books; Parachute.

The program Draw your Place on the Ground produced by the team in Sudan was awarded with Radio For Peace building Africa Award.

Radio production was always a passion of mine, so at the beginning of 2008, I founded Teet Radio; the first independent online broadcasting radio station in Egypt. The station was successful throughout its broadcasting period of three years, during which hundreds of sarcastic, sometimes controversial, episodes were produced and aired.

In 2009, I moved to ONTv as editor in chief of the newsroom, and later in the same year I joined the Arabic team of Thomson Reuters, where I worked as a journalist and editor of Arabic news.

In 2013, I started my program Garhi Show on the internet, which was later broadcasted on ONTv. I had another show running in the same year called Gabet Ragel.

I went back to the radio in 2014 with my daily news show Elmowaten Garhi which I hosted for four years.

I wrote articles for many publications including Rozalyoussef magazine, AlMasry AlYoum, Akhbar Elyoum, Rosalyoussef daily newspaper and Elseyasa Aldawleyya.

In 2017 I joined the news station; OnTvLive and for one year I hosted a daily show called Follow ON covering trending topics in different social media outlets.

I have five published books to date:

حارة ضبعة – Dabaa Alley (Novel)

باراشوت – Parachute (Sarcastic Travel Literature)

مرسي قصةـقصيرةـحزينة – Morsi #short_sad_story (Sarcastic Historic Literature)
